Here’s what they communicate:

- Lithography remains central to innovation in logic and memory
- ASML expects increasing lithography intensity for advanced nodes
Their 2030 outlook:
- Revenue opportunity: €44–60 billion
- Gross margin: 56–60%
- Strong emphasis on ESG and long-term partnerships
- Continued shareholder returns via dividends and buybacks
What founders should steal from this: ASML doesn’t just say “we’re doing great.” They position themselves as structurally necessary for the entire AI boom. That’s the difference between a company that sells products and a company that owns a category.

ASML highlights the XT:260 offering up to 4× productivity compared to existing solutions. It’s their way of saying: “We’re not just riding the current wave. We’re building for the next one.”
Advanced packaging and 3D integration are where the industry is heading. ASML is planting a flag.
For founders: even if your current product is selling well, investors want to know you’re thinking two steps ahead. One slide on your product roadmap can do a lot of heavy lifting.

Revenue Breakdown: Follow the Money

Key observations:

Why this matters: Logic-heavy demand reinforces ASML’s exposure to AI accelerators, CPUs, and advanced compute. They’re not dependent on cyclical memory alone.
When you’re presenting revenue breakdowns, think about what story the mix tells. Are you diversified? Are you exposed to the right growth segments? Don’t just show the pie chart — explain what it means.

Installed Base Management (services and upgrades) continues to grow alongside system sales. This is strategically brilliant because:
- It smooths revenue cyclicality

I see this pattern in the best hardware companies: they build a services-like revenue layer on top of their core product sales. If you’re selling hardware or equipment, think about how you can do the same.

Bookings Data: Reading the Tea Leaves

Q3 2025 bookings skew heavily toward logic. Memory bookings fluctuate quarter to quarter.
